The introduction looks at how liberal and right-wing journalism in Canada deal with issues of “Race” and multiculturalism, especially on university and college campuses.
Jeet Heer, a cultural critic, is the co-editor of Arguing Comics: Literary Masters on a Popular Medium (2004) and A Comics Studies Reader (2009). With Chris Ware and Chris Oliveros, he is editing reprints of Frank King's Gasoline Alley, the fifth volume of which was released in 2011. His essays have appeared in The Virginia Quarterly Review, the Literary Review of Canada, the Boston Globe, Slate.com, and numerous other publications.
