Lawrence E Ritchie
Lawrence E. Ritchie is the executive vice president and senior policy advisor to the Canadian Securities Transition Office, the federal statutory organization charged with leading the transition to a common securities regulator for Canada, and has held that role since the opening of that office in July 2009. Mr. Ritchie is on secondment from the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), where, as vice-chair since 2007, he has served as a member of the Commission’s Board of Directors, and the Executive Management and Adjudicative Committees, and has sat on and chaired adjudicative panels. Prior to his appointment to the OSC, Mr. Ritchie was a litigation partner with Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, where his practice included a range of securities litigation.
