Discusses the work of the Colour of Poverty Campaign, born in a legal clinic environment that involved Chinese, Southeast Asian, South Asian, and African communities. It has a mandate to provide free legal education and representation to people with low incomes.



Uzma Shakir

Uzma Shakir is a community-based researcher, advocate, and activist. She has been the Executive Director of Council of Agencies Serving South Asians (CASSA) for approximately eight years and is past Executive Director of the South Asian Legal Clinic of Ontario (SALCO).
