This chapter summarizes the activist value of the power of disruption as the Ontario Coatilition Against Poverty, with a staff of two, contended with Toronto’s resources and staff of 35,000. In the short term, the author concludes, more shelter beds are needed to bring the system down to 90% occupancy, provincial low income housing funding is needed, and social assistance levels should be raise to reflect the income needs to secure housing. The author calls for a revolution to eliminate capitalism, colonialism, and all forms of oppression.
