Andrew Petter

Andrew Petter is dean and professor of law at the University of Victoria. Prior to joining UVic Law in 1986, he taught at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and practised constitutional law with the government of Saskatchewan. From 1991 to 2001, he served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia and held numerous cabinet portfolios including Attorney General, Advanced Education, Training and Technology, Finance, and Health. His major fields of interest are constitutional law, civil liberties, and legislative and regulatory processes. He has written and lectured extensively on these and related subjects.
