Barbara Waterfall’s theory chapter builds on her experience of incorporating Anishnabec prayer and the teaching of Elders to argue that Indigenous spirituality is not only theoretical and methodological but also can imbue social work with ways to advance the profession’s commitment to “wholistic,” embodied and anti-colonial practices.
