Rose Fine-Meyer teaches in the Masters of Teaching and Bachelor of Education programs at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Her publications examine the history of teacher pedagogy in Ontario, how social movement activism has influenced the work of teachers in altering curricula, and the importance of place-based educational programming in schools. She is guest editor of a special edition of Ontario History on the history of women and education (2015) and has developed a women’s history talk series, herstoriescafe.com, that was recognized with a Heritage Toronto Community Award in 2012. She is the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012) and the Governor General’s Award for Excellence in Teaching Canadian History (2007).
