Backing the Attack
Women Workers at War
From: Material Traces of War
$6.60
Women pushed against many barriers during the world wars, breaking through some and weakening others, and the labour force was one of them. The women in this chapter came from a variety of backgrounds, although most were from working- or middle-class families. Their wartime workforce experiences include pride and praise, as well as harassment and gendered rules and regulations.
