In Chapter 7, Davide Mastracci explores the pro-Israel bias in Canadian media, detailing his own experiences with writing on Israel’s oppression of Palestinians. The chapter discusses issues such as the personal views of mid- to senior-level journalists, corporate influence, pro-Israel lobby groups and their influence on media in Canada, and the uncritical production of propaganda. The chapter explores how all of these factors create obstacle to the ability of solidarity movements to grow, helping to ensure that Israel is rarely held to account for its actions.
