Cynthia Comacchio, Professor of History at Wilfrid Laurier University, is interested in Canadian social and cultural history, particularly the history of children, youth, and families. She has published three books on those subjects, most recently The Dominion of Youth: Adolescence and the Making of Modern Canada, 1920–1950 (Wilfrid Laurier University Press, 2006). She is currently collaborating, with Neil Sutherland, on Ring Around the Maple: A Sociocultural History of Children and Childhood in Canada, 19th and 20th Centuries, for Wilfrid Laurier University Press.
