KATHY GRANT is a public historian. Since making a promise to her ailing father, a World War II veteran, to highlight the stories of Black veterans, she has collaborated with the Canadian War Museum, Library and Archives Canada, and Veteran Affairs Canada. Her efforts were formally acknowledged in 2012, when Kathy received a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal. Her Black Canadian Veterans web page receives over a half-million views a year.
