In the foreword, Kristyn Wong-Tam recounds her arrival in Toronto from Hong Kong and describes the diversity of the city’s queer community, which is often overshadowed by the predominantly white, cis, and male narrative. By hearing stories from individuals of all backgrounds, we can see how queer narratives have played an integral role in Toronto’s social and cultural evolution and continue to do so today.
