Jennifer Fallis

Jennifer Fallis has worked for a number of child and family service organizations in Winnipeg, most recently as a policy analyst with Manitoba’s General Child and Family Services Authority. She works with Manitoba Economic Development and Training on initiatives related to improving education and employment outcomes for youth transitioning from cfs care. In addition to her msw from the University of Manitoba, Jennifer holds a ba in sociology from the University of Winnipeg.

Kendra Nixon

Kendra Nixon, PhD is an associate professor in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Manitoba and is the director of resolve, a tri-prairie research network on gender-based violence. Kendra’s research interests include intimate partner violence, children’s exposure to violence, mothering within the context of violence, child maltreatment, family violence and sexual exploitation. She has conducted research within a variety of institutional settings, including child welfare, the police, the civil and criminal courts, and correctional facilities.
