SCOTT JAMES joined the City of Toronto Archives in 1967, and served as city archivist from 1975 to 1984. From 1984 to 1996 he was managing director of the Toronto Historical Board. He was the archives assistant responsible for the original cleaning and organizing of the Goss Collection. In retirement, Scott remains active as archivist for the Toronto Arts and Letters Club. VICTOR RUSSELL worked at the University of Toronto Press before joining the City of Toronto Archives in 1973, becoming the City’s Manager of Archives and Heritage until 1993. Victor went on to teach Urban Studies at Seneca College until his recent retirement. He is the author of numerous books and articles on the history of the Toronto.
