In Chapter 1, Klein lays out the methodology of his thesis as he uses the history of Canada’s rapid and successful mobilization efforts in the Second World War as a road map to guide present day mobilization against the climate crisis. Klein argues that through using our previous mobilization efforts as an examples Canadians can successfully mobilize their homes, communities, and country against the challenge of climate change by launching “A Good War”.

Seth Klein
Seth Klein was the founding British Columbia director of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives for over two decades and has been immersed in climate change and inequality issues for his working life. He is currently an adjunct professor in urban studies at Simon Fraser University and remains a research associate with the CCPA. He lives in Vancouver, B.C.
