Paul Mooney is a lawyer with Bertschi Orth Solicitors and Barristers LLP/ s.r.l. in Ottawa. He practised admiralty law with a well-known maritime law firm in British Columbia for almost ten years before moving his practice to Ottawa in 2014. Mr Mooney has experience handling cases involving the enforcement of maritime liens, debt collection, vessel arrest and security, carriage of cargo, collision, salvage, bodily injury, and constitutional issues arising in a marine context. He is called to the bar in British Columbia and Ontario. He has contributed to BC Shipping News and the Kluwer International Law Maritime Handbook. He was vice-chair of the Maritime Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch) and is currently a member of the Canadian Maritime Law Association.
