Mike Touchie is a member of the Ucluelet First Nation in Port Alberni, B.C. He has been a tireless advocate for people with disabilities since becoming disabled in 1979. Melanie Thomas has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Toronto, and a master of education degree in Deaf education from the university of British Columbia. Jaclyn Porter graduated from Thompson Rivers University with a bachelor of social work degree. Lorea Regan completed a Long Term Care Aide Certificate at Camosun College in Victoria, B.C., and she worked in the field for ten years.
