JOHN PARIS, JR. is hockey's first black professional coach; ROBERT ASHE is an experienced, award-winning journalist. Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he began his journalism career in 1978 and has worked as a sportswriter, editor, photographer, crime reporter and feature writer for several daily and weekly newspapers. Robert has written three books, Just Enough Fog to Keep it Cool, Even the Babe Came to Play and Halifax Champion: Black Power in Gloves. He holds a master of journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa. He worked as a communication specialist and senior advisor in the federal government for 27 years. He currently lives in Ottawa, Ontario.
