Annick

From: The Hope that Remains

$2.60

Annick was twelve during the genocide. She was separated from her family, who were eventually killed except for a much older brother. She eventually was taken in by an abusive Hutu family before being rescued and reunited with her brother. She learned that her family had died a year after the genocide. She eventually gained refuge status in Canada, and has been on a long emotional journey to work through her extreme trauma and move forward toward forgiveness.
