The Future of the Federal Court of Appeal
From: The Federal Court of Appeal and the Federal Court
$1.00
In this chapter, Chief Justice Marc Noël reflects on the the vision for the Canadian Federal Court, made by the Honourable John N Turner, on the court’s twenty-fifth anniversary in 1991. He predicted that the court would serve as a more accessible, quicker, and less expensive alternative to provincial superior courts, while developing and applying specialized knowledge in areas of law such as intellectual property, federal administrative law, and admiralty law, and reflects on how those predictions have indeed become today’s reality.
