The System Isn’t Broken, It’s Working as Designed

From: The Care We Dream Of

$2.80

In this chapter, the author asks "What could we learn by better understanding the historical roots and ideas built into the health system? How might we situate our maps in relation to the medical industrial complex and practise naming the implicit assumptions that often render the system so dangerous in the first place? They point out that LGBTQ+ people are already adept at navigating through and around the health system and hope this chapter will offer useful and perhaps new ways of thinking about the Medical Industrial System as it is traversed or deliberately worked from outside.
