Kikélola Roach

Kikélola Roach is the Unifor National Chair in Social Justice and Democracy at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), where she teaches courses in Social Movements and Human Rights. As a lawyer, she has fought against police brutality, and human rights violations in detention centres for many years, representing families and organizations like the Black Action Defense Committee and the Community Alliance for Social Justice. She has addressed audiences across Canada and was a regular commentator on current and legal affairs on CTV and CBC news networks.
