Matthew Pearce

Matthew Pearce has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Old Brewery Mission since 2008. Through media and public events, he shares the Mission’s vision to see the end of homelessness in our lifetime, engaging the public about practical and sustainable solutions to help homeless men and women reclaim their lives. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal as well as the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness, the Montreal Movement to End Homelessness and the Communauté Saint-Urbain. A graduate in History and Political Science from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, he has devoted most of his career to not-for-profit causes, including twenty-two years in the field of international development through his service with Canada World Youth, which he was the President and CEO of from 1999 to 2005.
