Ian Kamau is an artist, writer, designer and city builder who grew up in the St. Lawrence neighbourhood of downtown Toronto. His parents, both pioneering filmmakers, emigrated from Trinidad in 1970.

Paul Nguyen

Paul Nguyen is an award-winning activist and filmmaker from Toronto's Jane-Finch area. In 2004, he created Jane-Finch.com to change negative stereotypes about his community. His grassroots project quickly became a national success story.

Ryan Paterson

Ryan Paterson has worked for over fifteen years in the space where art, culture, community, social change, media, technology and commerce intersect.

John Lorinc

John Lorinc is an award-winning journalist who has contributed to Toronto Life, The Globe and Mail, National Post, Saturday Night, Report on Business and Quill & Quire, among other publications. He has written extensively on amalgamation, education, sprawl and other city issues. He is the recipient of two National Magazine Awards for his coverage of urban affairs. His first book, Opportunity Knocks: The Truth About Canada’s Franchise Industry, was shortlisted for the National Business Book Award. He lives in Toronto.
