In this chapter, the author explores the spread of the Asian carp through the rivers of the Arkansas delta region. Topics discussed in this chapter also include the Green Revolution of the 1970s and the campaigns to ban DDT as a pesticide.
Andrew Reeves is an award-winning environmental journalist whose work has appeared in The Walrus, This Magazine, Alternatives Journal and the Globe and Mail. He received a master of fine arts in creative nonfiction from the University of King’s College in 2016. He lives in Toronto, Ontario, with his wife and daughter.
