Carla Roppel

Carla Roppel has a Master of Science in agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan. She has a diverse background that includes corporate communications, independent research, editing, creative writing and community-based organizing. She has been involved with the NFU since the late 1980s as a volunteer, coordinator of the Global Agriculture Project, editor of the Union Farmer Quarterly, researcher and executive director. She farmed for several years with her then-husband, where a significant piece of her heart still remains.
