Introduction

From: The Franz Boas Enigma

$0.90

On Franz Boas, his research, and pivotal role in the history of science and anthropology. His publications provide us two-fold insights: an understanding of the scientific stimuli the young Boas received at German universities and applied during his sojourn in the Arctic, and glimpses into a crucial period of Inuit history dominated by Western colonial expansion into their homeland some one hundred thirty years ago.
