Stephen G.A. Pitel

Stephen G.A. Pitel is an associate professor and Goodmans LLP Faculty Fellow in legal ethics at the Faculty of Law of the University of Western Ontario. His teaching and research is focused on private international law, tort law, civil procedure, and legal ethics. He has co-authored, edited or co-edited ten books since 2003, including Conflict of Laws (Toronto: Irwin Law, 2010), The Law of Torts in Canada, 3d ed. (Toronto: Carswell, 2010), and Emerging Issues in Tort Law (Oxford: Hart Publishing, 2007). He is a member of the Chief Justice of Ontario’s Advisory Committee on Professionalism and a contributor to Lawyers’ Ethics and Professional Regulation (Toronto: LexisNexis, 2008).
