André Magnan

André Magnan is an associate professor of sociology and social studies at the University of Regina. He has written on the history and politics of grain marketing on the Canadian prairies and the financialization of farmland in Canada and Australia. His book, When Wheat was King, traces the evolution of the wheat trade between Canada and the UK since the 1870s, with a focus on the history of the Canadian Wheat Board.
