This chapter focuses on her work and influence in the Washington region from the 1860’s until her death in 1902. The chapter explores her role in the designing and building of St. Vincent’s and Providence Hospitals in Portland, Providence Hospital in Seattle, and the Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, as well as her legacy after her death.
