In this chapter, the author travels to Illinois to meet with commercial fishermen who fish the rivers and lakes of the Midwest. Topics discussed include the methods that fishers use to attempt to control invasive species.
Andrew Reeves is an award-winning environmental journalist whose work has appeared in The Walrus, This Magazine, Alternatives Journal and the Globe and Mail. He received a master of fine arts in creative nonfiction from the University of King’s College in 2016. He lives in Toronto, Ontario, with his wife and daughter.
