Lindeman examines how the various intersecting characteristics of a patient’s identity will directly inform their ability to be accurately diagnosed and receive proper medical care. She explores the racism, transphobia, misogyny, and patriarchy inherent to the health care system, as well as the socialized understanding of endometriosis as a "white women’s disease", and what this means for people suffering from pelvic disorders.
