Tina Beads is an Aboriginal feminist of Ojibway and Finnish descent. She began her activism while working at the Native Brotherhood of British Columbia with an interest in Aboriginal fishing rights. Beads is currently working at Status of Women Canada.

Rauna Kuokkanen is a Sami woman from the Finnish side of the Deatnu Valley. She completed her Ph.d. at the University of British Columbia.
