Brenda Austin-Smith
Brenda Austin-Smith is an Associate Professor and teaches Film Studies at the University of Manitoba. Among her publications are articles and essays on film and effect, cinema memory, melodrama, and adaptation. She is co-editor, with George Melnyk, of The Gendered Screen: Canadian Women Filmmakers. She is an active member of her union, and has been a member of the CD collective since 1991.
