Conclusion

The Way Forward for Homeless Shelters in Canada

From: Beyond Shelters

$1.30

Analyzes how the diversity of the shelterscape in Canada offers homeless people the right door into the services and programs they may need to exit homelessness in the shortest time possible. Outlines that it is incumbent upon all shelters to focus on reducing homelessness and end the practice of simply being witnesses to their clients despair, and to deploy best practices in their shelter like Housing First and work coherently with other agencies both public and private to together strive towards solving homelessness in their communities.
