Lecture One: The Body, Capitalism and the Reproduction of Labour Power

From: Beyond the Periphery of the Skin

$1.40

Part 1 of this title consists of three lectures by feminist scholar Silvia Federici. In this lecture, Federici discusses the concept of the body and how it is defined and conceived of from different perspectives: as an inscrutable construct of cells from a biological perspective, as a machine for work and generating value from a capitalist perspective, and as the result of a series of external forces.
