Danielle Martin
Danielle Martin is a comprehensive care family physician working in downtown Toronto and rural Northern Ontario. She is associate staff at Women’s College Hospital and lecturer in the Department of Community and Family Medicine at the University of Toronto.A recipient of the Canadian Medical Association Award for Young Leaders, she sits on the Health Council of Canada and was founding co-chair of the New Health Professionals Network. In 2006, the Ontario College of Family Physicians recognized Danielle Martin as one of three New Family Doctors of the Year. In 2006, she was the founding chair of Canadian Doctors for Medicare, the voice of pro-medicare physicians who support a responsive, sustainable publicly funded health care system, and oppose privatization and two-tier medicine.
