Lloyd Axworthy

Lloyd Axworthy is president and vice-chancellor of the University of Winnipeg.He was Canada’s foreign minister from 1995 to 2000. For his leadership on the landmark global treaty banning anti-personnel landmines, he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Lloyd Axworthy has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and honours, including the Order of Canada. His most recent book is Navigating a New World: Canada’s Global Future, Knopf Canada, 2003.
