Jo-Anne Pickel is a full-time Vice-Chair with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Prior to her appointment to the Tribunal, she was a partner in a labour law firm where she focused on written advocacy and research in the areas of labour, human rights, constitutional and administrative law. She holds a doctorate in law from the University of Toronto, a Masters of Social Work, and civil law and common law degrees from the Faculty of Law, McGill University. She has taught law at Carleton University and was a Senior Advisor at the National Judicial Institute.
