The Effects of History

From: Uprooting Racism

$7.30

This part of Uprooting Racism explores how white racism has defined and controlled specific other groups. All the sections are about white people and what we have done to people of color, even though they seem to focus on people of color. I include this information for several reasons. First, most of us are woefully misinformed about the actual history of interracial relationships, particularly their more devastating aspects. Second, our history affects our current situation and experience. Third, we cannot build trust and an honest commitment to creating equality if we ignore the injustices of the past. Fourth, the past, even with all its horror, can give us hope for the future.
