JOHN JACOBS is an international economic policy analyst. His work examines the impact of Canadian trade and investment agreements on mining and economic development within Canada and internationally. He has a PhD from the School of Public Policy and Administration and the Institute of Political Economy at Carleton University and an MA from the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, Netherlands. He is the author of numerous public policy publications, a former columnist with the Chronicle Herald and a research associate with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives.
