The Green Dimension
From: Canada Since 1960: A People's History
$1.40
in the first three decades of its existence, with some noteworthy exceptions, the magazine approached the subject in a largely piecemeal fashion, focusing on polluting industries but not yet elucidating the big picture: the ecological unsustainability of prevailing human production and consumption practices as a whole. By the 1990s, the environment was foremost among the political concerns of Canadians and it was becoming a central theme of the magazine.
