International Criminal Justice as "Battering Ram"

From: Rwanda and the New Scramble for Africa

$2.20

In Chapter 13, Philpot examines the ad hoc criminal tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda. He does this to discuss the injustice and inept of the tribunal, which the founding resolution (Resolution 955 (1994)) claimed would “contribute to the process of national reconciliation and to the restoration of maintenance of peace.” Philpot discusses the role of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the Security Council, and the involvement of key political figures.
