Interrogating the Union Politics of Equity, Inclusion and Diversity
From: Rethinking the Politics of Labour in Canada
$2.10
The floodgates have been opened and systemic racism is now at the centre of national attention. If we do not seize this opportunity to rebuild labour unions as a transformative vehicle for a powerful economic, multiracial working-class movement, we will have failed to meet the challenge of the moment. The current and next generation will hold us to account for our failures and put their energies, talents and skills into their communities and other progressive organizations rather than join the ranks of the labour movement. This is a loss the labour movement cannot afford.
