The Great Imperialist War

New!

From: Myths of Modern History

$2.50

In this chapter the author argues against the cliché of conventional historiography that the First World War was a war for democracy, as well as the notion that this war was not a product of imperialism; he calls WW1 a war against democracy and a counterrevolutionary project and highlights the fact that this conflict was ultimately decided by economic factors. This chapter discusses imperialism, the role of economic factors in the origins of the war in 1914, corporate powers and exploitation, and the reality of the "Great War."
