Eric Geringas immigrated to Canada as a child from Soviet-occupied Latvia, where he developed his love of starchy foods. Since then, he’s broadened his palate considerably but still has a passion for potatoes. He is an award-winning writer, documentary filmmaker and TV director, and owner of Power of Babel, a translation company that specializes in subtitling and dubbing.
