Arlene Chan is a librarian, athlete, artist, author, and historian. She has written several books about Canada’s Chinese community, including Righting Canada’s Wrongs: The Chinese Head Tax and Anti-Chinese Immigration Policies in the Twentieth Century, and has contributed essays to two previous Coach House anthologies, The Ward and The Ward Uncovered.
