Anna Stamers left No. 1 CGH on May 21, 1917, after fifteen months of continuous service in France. Anna was granted a 17 day leave and returns to Canada where, due to poor health, she was granted another two month’s leave. The conditions in Orpington, Kent, England, hospital are described. The political reasons for giving enlisted women and women with enlisted next of kin of kin the right to vote in 2017 are described.
