Perserving for the Long Haul

From: Intrinsic Hope

$1.50

Perseverance helps to nurture intrinsic hope because it gives us the determination to endure whatever happens. Perseverance persists — day after day, month after month, and year after year. Its stamina and fortitude are necessary to maintain and cultivate the habits of hope I’ve already discussed: being present, expressing gratitude, loving the world, accepting what is, and taking action. But more than this, perseverance is essential because it doesn’t depend on achieving results. With perseverance, we can work to resolve the global eco-social crisis and build a better world without expecting to see the fruits of our efforts.
