Striking for Status
From: Essential Work Disposable Workers
$1.00
This chapter describes why undocumented migrants’ struggles for status are fundamentally about workers’ rights. In certain moments, like 2006 and 2017 in the US and 2008 in France, marginalized migrants demonstrated their central role in both the global economy and in rebuilding the labour movement.
